SEPA (Scotland)
SEPA (Scottish Environment Protection Agency) is a non-departmental public body and has been advising Scottish ministers, regulated businesses, the industry and the public on environmental issues for more than a decade. With 22 offices throughout Scotland their main role is to protect the environment and human health by regulating activities that cause pollution and monitoring the quality of Scotland’s surroundings.
SEPA also publish a number of publications and environmental reports and are responsible for delivering Scotland’s flood warning system.
